Primavera Sound 2023 is a festival in Barcelona with Maneskin, Rosalia and Calvin Harris

Parc de Fòrum’s music sounds Italian as well: among the protagonists of Primavera Sound the Måneskin, who made many a hit split between his live and Calvin Harris shows. The music is strong, catchy, as are they. An approximately hour and twenty live show in which Damiano also does crowd surfing, takes an Italian flag and places it on his shoulders, and finds a place to say “Come on Rome”. Reina de Barcelona always gives great pleasure, even when she is at home. Oh yeah: first headlining live at Primavera Sound in his native Barcelona. Excited, radiant and a little emotional, the Catalan artist, now very famous all over the world, opened his concert addressing his audience in Catalan: “I am very happy to be here, I have come many times to Primavera Sound It is an immense pleasure for me and the principals of the choirs to unite. Many thanks to each one of you.” And then the music and dancing begins. Rosalia is a river of energy and beauty: she sings, plays the piano, dances. A truly complete artist, able to bring his corrupted flamenco to the whole world and turn it into almost a musical genre of which he is the creator and spokesperson. Impossible not to dance, impossible not to wish to see it again and again. Calvin Harris

Saturday evening? Disco under the starry sky of Barcelona with the music of Calvin Harris. No, it’s not a dream: it’s all real and it happened in the Parc del Forum. The British DJ and producer knows how to get people dancing, and it’s not obvious: On one of Primavera’s main stages, he doesn’t talk much during his DJ set. Because there is no need for him: his music is enough. One of the hits was “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa, “Outside” with Ellie Goulding’s voice, and “Miracle”. and then “This Is What You Came For” with Rihanna, “Blame” and “Summer”. Their music venue was the live pre-live warm-up for Rosalia, who also met at Coachella this year. Who knows if one day, a collaboration between the two will ever come about: it would be very intriguing.

St. Vincent

Intriguing as a concert by American artist St. Vincent, which is preceded by a live performance by the talented Carolyn Polachek on the adjoining stage. Well, let’s start with a notion: listening to his live music is indeed a joy to one’s soul. Elegant, delicate, she’s also upbeat. But capable of giving beautiful expressions. On February 14, the American singer-songwriter released her new album, “Desire, I Want to Turn Into You”, which was also performed live in Barcelona. We saw him in Cala Monte at the Jazz Refound Festival in 2022, then again this April at Coachella and we will see him again on June 23 at La Prima Estate in Lido di Camaiore. Why?
