After several events following the Hamas attack on Israel, the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the A24 program Priscilla was cancelled. The show is still ongoing.
Director Sofia Coppola, stars Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, as well as Priscilla Presley herself were scheduled to take the walk. The film has a temporary SAG-AFTRA deal, so the actors are allowed to promote the film.

“Out of respect for events taking place in the world, we will refuse the red carpet for Priscilla Premiering in Los Angeles,” a rep said in a statement this afternoon.
The Academy Museum said Thursday it has decided to cancel the red carpet planned for Saturday’s Academy Museum gala, an annual fundraising event. The entire event honoring Meryl Streep, Coppola, Michael B. Jordan and Oprah Winfrey was canceled hours later.
Priscilla For its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Spaeny received the Volpi Award. The film will be released in theaters on November 3.

IATSE Local 11, which represents projectionists, first targeted the property on Sept. 14, according to THR.
