Professional League: River beat Platense and gets closer to the title | With a goal from Alvarez, Gallardo’s team was closer to the crown

River Plate, leader of the Professional Football League and a great candidate for the title, defeats Platense 1-0 at the Ciudad de Vicente López stadium on date 21, in search of the victory that brings it closer to its goal of becoming champion of the domestic tournament.

The goal was scored in the 10th minute by Julián Alvarez.

With a 15-game unbeaten streak, the team led by Marcelo Gallardo intends to stretch the lead over his guard Talleres de Córdoba.

At the beginning, Platense was preparing to make a party for his illustrious guest. But his illusion quickly collapsed, after a great associated play that crowned the goal Julián Alvarez, in a state of grace after scoring four to Patronato. Goalkeeper Ojeda seemed to fall asleep on the play of the goal.

The visitor advantage reflected the abysmal difference that separated a team that is one step away from being champion from another that recently played in the First National. In the middle, the crossbar saved a new fall of the host. Shortly after, Braian Romero had a sudden counter that could not end well. And then Franco Armani had a reckless action against Brian Mansilla, but referee Rapallini did not even admonish the visiting goalkeeper.

The Squid arrived in danger after a good individual action by Mansilla himself, but the dispatch of the 9 -no center, nor shot to the goal- crossed the entire area and went to the side. The millionaire response was not long in coming and another shot from Romero shook a post.

The meeting was vibrant and in that those of Claudio Spontón almost tied it after a Schott center that Bertolo (a former River) almost bill of popcorn.

Shortly after, goalkeeper Ojeda seemed to redeem himself after his responsibility in Alvarez’s goal and with a save, he drowned out Palavecino’s scream after a phenomenal play.

The truth was that the last fifteen minutes before the break were a River Plate monologue, which had to go to the changing rooms with a minimal advantage despite the dance he gave his rival.
