About the role:
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This is an alternative position, unaccompanied terms and conditions, based in Syria, frequently traveling in all areas of focus program intervention, salary level 3 (€39,911 to €44,346)
You will report to the Program Director (PD) and work directly with the Deputy Program Director (DPD), Program Coordinator (PC), Program Manager (PM), and also liaise with Finance and Logistics staff. You will work closely with supervisory officials focusing on Syria and Iraq in Dublin, coordinating the development and submission of concept notes, proposals and reports.
The Program Development and Grants Manager will liaise closely with implementing partners to coordinate program cycle management, including reporting, contracting and proposal development. You will be responsible for managing a Communications Officer, ensuring compliance with internal and donor visibility requirements, supported by Concern’s Dublin communications department.
We expect you to start work in December 2023.
Your purpose:
The Program Development and Grants Manager (PDGM) is the focal point for proposal development, reporting and grant management for all awards in Syria and Iraq. The PDGM is responsible for building the proposal development and reporting capabilities of key project management personnel. Under the guidance of the PD and in coordination with the PC, the Dublin Responsible Officer and the Regional Technical Advisor, the PDGM will facilitate the development of new concept notes and full proposals, ensuring familiarity and compliance with organizational and donor templates and deadlines. The PDGM is also responsible for ensuring that all reporting and submission deadlines are appropriately scheduled and adhered to, and that all documents are finalized to professional standards. Under the National Communications Plan, the PDGM will provide guidance and support to communications officers in the production of communications materials such as briefings, promotional documents, infographics and case studies. The PDGM will work with the Deputy PD to provide ongoing oversight of the national fundraising strategy, ensuring follow-up to program and grant management meetings. Throughout, PDGM will support the mainstreaming of Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and protection, gender and equality throughout the Country of Focus programme.
