Given the various changes that have occurred in the vaccine, the new vaccination model is expected to be very promising and will allow the integration of improved primers compared to previous primers. This is pointed out by Issel Prisciliano Gutiérrez Mandujano, a pediatrician at the ISSSTE Pediatric Service of the Secretariat of Health of the State of Chiapas, while Also working in the private sector.
Pediatricians point out that it would always be beneficial if the new card offered a greater number of vaccines. However, reducing the dose may increase health problems, especially in young children.
“The current national vaccination card includes nine vaccines, but more vaccines will be available when Chiapas carries out various health campaigns to promote vaccination,” he stressed.
Currently, there are vaccines for hepatitis B, influenza, hexavalent vaccine (which covers six diseases), rotavirus, influenza B, tuberculosis, tetanus and human papilloma. He therefore stressed the importance of promoting vaccination in health centres.
“However, we should also vaccinate against dengue fever as many people are currently losing their lives to this disease,” he concluded.
