While the Las Vegas Raiders focus on the Chicago Bears, business is being discussed behind the scenes. Tom Brady and Mark Davis are working on a deal that would make him a minority owner of the team. The deal is close to closing, but the owner still has questions about the deal.
Jim Irsay is one of the owners. He is one of seven owners on the Finance Committee. It is confirmed that Brady will receive 10% of the team’s shares in this acquisition. However, the committee wants to make sure the price is fair, The Boston Globe reported.
“We’re working on that. The number has to be a reasonable number to buy from Tom, that’s the only thing. If at reasonable value 10 percent should be $525 million, then you can’t pay $175 million.”
Brady calling games for Fox in 2024 also delayed the deal. The next opportunity for property owners to vote will be in December.
