Red Sea Drama: Americans Take Down Their Own Plane

In the wake of the devastating cyclone Chido, Mayotte is struggling to recover. Yet, amidst the lives lost, the rubble, and the colossal damage, initiatives fueled by tremendous solidarity are emerging. Two historic players in military insurance stand out with exceptional measures.

Mayotte: Tailored Support for Military Personnel and Their Families

For decades, AGPM and Allianz have supported military personnel in facing life’s uncertainties. This time, their commitment has reached a new level. Together with the TEGO association, they have unlocked a fund of $1.1 million to support families affected by cyclone Chido in Mayotte on December 14, 2024. The goal? To provide concrete and immediate assistance. Each family can receive an emergency aid package of $1,100 without income conditions. This approach is intended to be simple yet essential to address urgent needs.

The cyclone did not only cause material damage; psychological trauma weighs heavily on families, both children and adults. AGPM and Allianz have understood the importance of this human dimension. A psychological support line has also been established. This service, accessible to all affected military personnel, offers a space for listening and advice to soothe minds and rebuild after the storm.

An Additional Financial Boost

To further ease the burden on families, another measure has been implemented: suspending insurance premiums for three months. This gesture, aimed at military personnel residing in Mayotte and insured by AGPM or Allianz, demonstrates both groups’ commitment to fully supporting their members during these challenging times.

This is not the first time AGPM and Allianz have mobilized for military personnel. For over 70 years, these specialized insurance groups have championed a mutualistic approach, convinced that unity is strength.
