Reggio prepares to welcome what already represents one of the biggest musical events in the city’s history: the closing of the British pop star’s ‘Love on Tour’ world tour, the only performance in Italy. The Security Committee, chaired by Prefect Maria Rita Coccuff, has gathered all the subjects that will interfere in the management of this day.
Changes have been made to the road system: as early as Friday, Via del Aeronavtica will become a pedestrian street between Via Agosti and Via Caduti delle Reggiane. 25,000 cars and campers will be distributed across seven car parks. 400 buses will arrive: 200 will be parked on the airport runway, a few steps from the arena entrance, the rest at the stadium and Europe Square. The tent area will be set up on the starting track for cycling by Giannetto Cimurri. There are three luggage storage facilities: at the Don Bosco Oratorio, at the Pigalle Club and on the slope of Chimurri. Three places for bicycles and motorcycles. There are no shuttles.
The boulevard gates will open at 10, the arenas at 12. The concert will start at 20.45. Attention focused on the outflow of the audience, which overwhelmingly comes from outside of Reggio. Three special trains will depart from the station: two to Bologna and one to Milan. Finally, don’t underestimate the heat: we’re arming ourselves with nebulizers.
