Rock competition 2023 Controradio, the national competition for young artists that selects and promotes the best representatives of the Italian music scene, has extended registration until September 22, 2023.
By this date it will be possible to register on the website www.rockcontest.it, fill out an application on the forum and try to win one of the many prizes offered by the organization, funding ranging from recording songs in the studio to production. video clip, for photo shoots, promotion and tour organization. To this are also added various awards for individual artistic projects: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Prize of the Rock Competition, FSE/Giovanisi Prize, Enrico Greppi “Erriquez” Prize, Ernesto De Pascal Prize and Publiacqua Prize.

At a time when the recording market seems to be increasingly subject to the logic of virtual reality, Rock Contest instead seeks to expand new offerings, offering specific opportunities to support professional and creative growth and focusing on music performed live, which represents a unique true form of socialization . pleasure and exchange of information that cannot be compared otherwise.
The artistic movements of some of the most important festivals represented on the peninsula will also participate in the evaluation of competing projects, thanks to a collaboration that began in 2022 and is being renewed to give 30 selected festivals the opportunity to participate in various competitions. lineups of related events, as already happened in the last issue Mars, Wake Up in Space, Angry Waiting, Androgyne, Mundial and Una.

Rock competition it is open to all musical genres (rock, indie, electronic, dream pop, r’n’b, trap, psychedelia, soul, folk, urban, new songwriting) and is intended for artists under the age of 35, free from restrictions by recording and/or editorials.
To participate, simply fill out the form and upload three original songs to the official website www.rockcontest.it.
A professional jury will select 30 groups/soloists who will take part in the competition. Starting on October 17th in Florence, 5 preliminary evenings and 2 semi-finals, until the final on November 25th.
In addition to the public, who will be able to vote online, the final ranking will be determined by a highly qualified technical jury.
The names of the 2023 jury members will be officially announced in the coming weeks.
There are many awards, and they are all aimed at recognizing and implementing projects proposed by artists: studio recordings and the creation of video clips, promotion, photo shoots, organizing tours and much more.
The first place winner will receive 3,000 euros, the second – 5 days of registration. Sam, recording studio, one of the most prestigious and qualified companies in Italy and in third place 500 euros.
The prize will go to the song that best expresses the desires and concerns of young people, as well as the state of young people in general. European Social Fund/Giovanisi Prize – 7th edition (2000 euros), recognition established as part of the information campaign of the Tuscany region about the activities of the European Social Fund Plus dedicated to youth and other opportunities for young people. Added to this is the premium Enrico Greppi “Erriquez” – 3To edition (2000 euros) proposed by the region of Tuscany together with the European Social Fund Plus and dedicated to the memory of the leader Bandabardo.

Publiacqua Prizeorganized by Publiacqua SpA and dedicated to the song that best expresses the themes of sustainable development, climate change, biodiversity, resource availability, inclusion and equality, which consists of the creation of a music video curated by PRD plant, a well-known video film production company with a history of important collaborations (Max Gazze, Levante, Amis Killa, Cristina Donaetc.).
And finally, the best song in Italian, created in collaboration with the magazine. Blues peoplea special offer will be assigned Ernesto de Pascal Prize, dedicated to the memory of the untimely death of a radio presenter (RAI Stereonotte, Controradio), journalist, musician and historical chairman of the jury of the Rock Competition.
