Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady is moving forward with plans for his oceanfront mansion in South Florida, across the water from the home of his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

Located in the exclusive and gated Indian River Village, Brady’s estate will include a separate gym (obviously), den, oceanfront pool and spa, outdoor kitchen, gardens and a tree-lined driveway leading to a multi-car park According to a set of renderings obtained, the car garage the real deal. Drawings also show the master suite and guest suite each have their own terraces.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion who spent most of his NFL career with the New England Patriots, purchased the 2-acre property at 26 Island Road, Indian River, with Bundchen about three years ago. They acquired the property through an LLC associated with Jeff Soffer’s Fontainebleau Development Company. (Soffer and Brady were good friends, and Soffer lived next door at 27 Indian Creek Island Road.)

In June, the LLC received a $35 million home construction loan from JPMorgan Chase.

Fontainebleau Construction Company submitted two notices of commencement, marking the start of construction on the site in 2021. Documents call for a two-storey home with a security building, gym, cabana, swimming pool and sports court.

Indian River has long been home to ultra-wealthy businessmen and celebrities, but a new group of people is moving in. In June, billionaire Jeff Bezos spent $68 million to dismantle the island. DJ and producer David Guetta is also in contract to purchase an oceanfront property at 37 Indian Creek Island Drive for $69 million.

Brady’s ex-wife Bündchen was recently spotted at a construction site near her oceanfront home at 1400 Vizcaya Boulevard in Surfside, according to paparazzi photos. She paid $11.5 million for the property about a year ago when the former couple announced they were divorcing. Bündchen owns a non-oceanfront home in Surfside that she bought a few months ago.

In addition to her Surfside home, she recently purchased a 7.5-acre equestrian estate in Southwest Ranches in western Broward County for more than $9 million.
