The charming relationship between Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen has hit a snag that may have been indirectly caused by the man himself.
Reports emerged this week that Michael Jordan’s son Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa have split after dating for more than a year. According to “Page Six”, the relationship has been “strained”, caused in large part by Michael Jordan’s “public condemnation”.
Last summer, Michael Jordan went viral for his one-sentence answer when he was asked about his son dating a former teammate’s ex-wife. As Jordan left a restaurant in Paris, a gossip reporter asked him if he was okay with Marcus dating Larsa. Jordan laughed and then yelled “No!” You can watch the video here.
Marcus played down the comment and insisted his father was calm about everything. Larsa said her words left her “traumatized” and led to a stronger reaction.
A person familiar with the relationship told Page Six that Larsa was “ashamed” of how Michael handled the situation. Scotty and Michael have also not been on good terms in recent years, which makes things even more awkward.
“They each have a baseline loyalty that makes their relationship difficult to maintain,” a source told Page Six.
A new report from TMZ claims that Marcus and Larsa are just hitting a rough patch and need some time, so they have a chance to get back together.
Larsa and Marcus were first spotted together in September 2022. They initially insisted they were just friends, but eventually went public with their relationship and even started a podcast together. If the two still break up, we assume MJ won’t shed any tears.
