The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly interested in bringing in a seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback after losing Kirk Cousins for the season to an Achilles injury. The Vikings ended up trading Joshua Dobbs with the Arizona Cardinals at the deadline.
Tom Brady wanted in Minnesota
Dobbs played well in Minnesota. However, the Vikings are interested in Tom Brady. Scott Zolak reported that the Vikings called Brady about playing in Minnesota this season after news of Cousins’ injury broke, according to NBC Sports Boston:
The former Patriots quarterback and co-host of “The Zolak and Bertrand Show” said Monday that the Vikings “reached out” to Tom Brady. Zolak’s revelation came during a segment (which you can watch in the video player above) in which he and his co-host Marc Bertrand were talking about Bengals fans hoping Brady can play in Joe Biden’s Rowe came out of retirement after suffering a season-ending wrist injury and saved Cincinnati’s season.
Zolak did not provide any details about the Vikings and Brady, such as when exactly the team would reach out. He did say earlier in the segment that “Brady is done.”
Brady would be an interesting option in Minnesota. Even without Cousins, the Vikings are in playoff contention. The team has a variety of receiving weapons, including Justin Jefferson, that have to sound attractive to Brady.
But Brady’s days in the NFL are over, even if the rest of the league isn’t done yet to get the legend to win another championship.
