“Bugs Bunny in the Symphony Orchestra” is the opening of the Warner Bros. Festival. Every age has its own soundtrack: for this reason, this year’s festival begins with a gift intended for the little ones and their families: a big party in the lobby of the Conciliazione Auditorium with artists, characters Looney Tunes, music and, above all, the extraordinary participation of orchestra masters who will “play music” with young guests designed to become performers on a wide variety of instruments (recommended age 6 to 11 years).
Once the party is over (scheduled to start an hour before the performance), you enter the hall to enjoy the European premiere, which will take place in Italy after three decades of touring the world with sold-out hits with the biggest orchestras and in the most prestigious concert halls, from New… York Philharmonic to the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Philharmonic.
Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety are the eternal protagonists of this show, which in every country has been able to captivate both children and adults in an amazing show suitable for all ages, it is not surprising that Los Angeles wrote to the Times: “Visit This show at the Hollywood Bowl is one of the reasons this city is worth living.”
The Italian Cinema Orchestra is led at the Auditorium della Conciliazione by the legendary maestro George Dougherty (1996 Emmy Award winner and 5 other nominations), co-creator of the format with David Ka Lik Wong. Accompanying audiences through chases and traps, hilarious hijinks and ingenious stunts, the soundtrack by Carl Stalling and Milt Franklin is performed live and in perfect sync, inspired by the great masterpieces of classical music. From Richard Wagner to Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, passing through J. Strauss, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Ponchielli or Donizetti (to name just a few), an astute rabbit and company will be able to bring the younger ones closer together with grace and sympathy for the masterpieces of symphonic music.
The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl concert is a preview of Walt Disney’s 100th Anniversary. The first chapter of the saga starring Johnny Depp arrives in Italy for the first time, where the entire film is projected in high definition on the big screen, with a stunning soundtrack performed in sync with the images by more than 80 musicians of the Italian Cinema Orchestra, conducted by the Maestro. Ludwig Wiki is a true authority, recognized throughout the world among the best interpreters of the genre. It’s been exactly 20 years since the whimsical pirate adventures hit theaters across the planet in 2003, changing the genre forever, combining adventure and magic with an unforgettable theme song composed by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer.
The Wonderful World of John Williams is a small wonder: Sarah Andon’s flute, Simone Pedroni’s piano and Cecilia Tsang’s cello will metaphorically accompany the audience in exploring the greatest living composer of soundtracks. From Star Wars to Hook. Captain Hook”, from “Schindler’s List” to “Dracula”, to “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Sabrina”, “Jane Eyre” (and many others), his masterpieces will be reimagined in a very subtle sound tonality, for the concert hall where the flute , piano and cello intertwine in new sound textures.
The great creative adventure of John Williams is brought to life on stage in a precious concert that no fan of great music (not just cinema) should miss. Because, as Steven Spielberg reminds us, “bikes don’t fly without John Williams.”
