Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are teaming up again for a new top-secret project.
The filmmaker and actor previously collaborated on Coogler’s 2013 directorial debut Fruitvale Station, 2015’s Rocky spin-off “Tenet” and the MCU film “Black Panther,” and now they will work together again on Coogler’s next film.
The Hollywood Reporter says Coogler, 37, has a new script ready, his first under his new production company Proximity Media, based on an original idea that Coogler has turned to Jordan , 36, once again became his leading man.
The project has been described as a genre feature, meaning it will be a horror, thriller or science fiction story, and it is rumored to have period elements.
Last week, studio executives and buyers traveled to the Beverly Hills offices of Coogler and Jordan’s agency, WME, to review the script and let Coogler go over plot details.
