Some of the boats that will be competing with me, the slower ones, have already started and that gives me a big boost, I can’t wait to get on board. It’s been a while, but before I leave I’ll have to travel 22 hours by car to bring some more material to A Coruña. Then, with my right hand man Filippo Montanner, we will work hard to bring the efficiency of the equipment and materials to 100%, everything must be perfect before leaving. We are there now!

Tosetto was born 35 years ago in Cittadella and learned to sail from a very young age. At the age of 14, he met Angelo Preden, a famous ocean navigator, with whom he began sailing during long voyages in the Mediterranean Sea. After a few seasons, he decided to turn this hobby into a profession and in November 2006, together with his teacher, he acquired the Blue Dragon. In just two years, Ricciardo traveled the entire Mediterranean, spent a season in the Caribbean and crossed the Atlantic twice, covering more than 25,000 miles. We spend most of our time in the Aegean Sea, known to skippers for its constant and steady winds. For several years he competed with one of his racing boats in the main competitions of the Northern Adriatic, winning several first places overall and several in class. The Globe Solo Challenge is currently the most important project of his life.
