Sara’s magnetic voice from bedroom to stage

Born in 1995 in Capua, Province of Caserta, sara santagata Is a young singer with infectious sweetness and extraordinary voice. Since her first steps into the world of music, Sara has showcased her innate talent by posting videos on YouTube in which she sings and plays the guitar. Their passion has led them to participate in various competitions, and in 2020 won a significant victory in the “La Couple That Bursts” contest. He then began to perform in Caserta and at various venues in the province, enthralling the public with his engaging performances. Recently, I had the privilege of hosting Sarah on the editorial staff of Cronache: it was a special experience to have her on our editorial staff, allowing us to better understand her charming personality and her tremendous passion for music. During the interview we got to know in detail about his artistic journey, his successes and the challenges he faced along the way. With every note he played and every word he sang, he confirmed his status as a bright promise in the local music scene.

How did you find your passion for singing and how did you start performing in public?

“This is a wonderful story. I discovered my passion for singing when I was in the Scouts. At the age of 7, during a church tour, I had the opportunity to join the choir and sing with other people. At home I’ll start humming or playing the guitar. My father, who taught himself to play the guitar, was a great inspiration to me. I started singing thanking him and this closeness to music. At first, I was scared to sing in public, even if it was a small stage. So I worked on myself to manage the feeling that comes in your mind when you perform in front of people. I feel a bit like Rachel in Glee, who always sang to herself in her bedroom before opening up to the world. Then I thought “well, I want others to hear my voice too” and, being musician friends, I organized a live show with them.

how many instruments do you play?

“I’m no expert, but I can play a few instruments. I use them for walks with me, they are not the main equipment. I play guitar, keyboards, a bit of cello, bass and ukulele, this is the instrument I play more easily.

Did you teach yourself to play all these instruments?

“Yeah, I learned everything on my own. I really like the equipment, but unfortunately I have a problem with my hand that causes tendonitis. So I can only play for a few minutes to support myself, then I have to stop.

Even though you mostly sing covers, have you ever released any of your own solo songs?

“I started with covers, but over time I became familiar with the world of unpublished works as well. I was very naive at first, but it was great to know that I could put my feelings into lyrics. Over the years I have collaborated with labels and producers to release my unreleased songs across music platforms. My first single is called “Lia” and I wrote it in honor of my grandmother. I am currently working with two makers of Acera, Antonio Basile

And simon sapphireTo create new unreleased tracks that we will propose to the label.

So are you working on making an EP?

“Absolutely”.

What topics will you be addressing in this new episode?

“The starting point is a piece I wrote three years ago and which we recently rearranged. The title of the song is “Bonfire” and the subject matter is light at the moment. These songs were born after the pandemic, expressing a sense of freedom and the need to breathe after a difficult period. I wanted to bring a little lightness to these songs, talking about the beauty of going to the beach, lighting bonfires and being with friends. It is like feeling the gentle breeze of the sea, which gives a feeling of inner lightness that I have been looking for for a long time.

Have you ever auditioned for a talent show?

“My dream is to reach out to as many people as possible and make them understand what I want to say through music. I’ve tried various talent shows and will continue to do so, but I don’t consider that route alone to be the most immediate. I’m also trying to open myself up to other opportunities, like opening shows for other artists and nights dedicated to my music. I hope this all helps to explain what I have to say.

Is there a show that you remember especially well?

«Since I started playing, I have had many exciting experiences that have helped me grow personally, allowing me to open up to others and communicate through music. , One evening I remember with special emotion was at Aversa, in a club where people were standing and singing as if it were my concert. This situation got me very excited and it was beautiful, because the public responded so actively. When people look into your eyes and sing along with you, it’s one of the best feelings you can have. Even though it was a cover night, the audience reaction really impressed me. Also, there was an evening at Kasapulla where I was invited Gigio Rosa

And I played “taken”. It was a very emotional experience because I really care about that song and I could see how people understood the emotion I wanted to convey.

What are your sources of inspiration?

“I have many sources of inspiration which often change with time. However, there are certain artists whom I consider my pillars. Along with Panic, Paramore has been a huge influence for me! At the Disco, Melanie Martinez, Calcutta, Libretto, Lady Gaga and Ed Sheeran. These are the artists who inspire me the most and give me the strength to keep making music.
