Serena Williams is one proud mom of a girl!
The 42-year-old tennis legend revealed that her eldest daughter Olympia is “navigating” becoming a sister. Williams and her tech entrepreneur husband, Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their second daughter, Adira, in August.
“She’s riding it. She loves it,” Williams told entertainment tonight The 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards took place in New York City on Monday. “Adira was like a little baby, so Olympia called her little sister.”
Every Tonight’s entertainment, Williams revealed that Olympia was “praying for her sister.” However, the athlete added that she herself felt a bit anxious before the birth of her second child, worrying that she wouldn’t be able to love others as much as she loved Olympia.

“I was worried. I was like, ‘Well, I don’t know if I can love anyone as much as I love Olympia,'” Williams explained. “I was very nervous about it. But I feel like it all worked out.”
Williams received the Style Icon Award at a ceremony at the American Museum of Natural History. The star wore a black sequin dress designed by CFDA Chairman Thom Browne and paired with David Yurman jewelry.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve used fashion as an outlet to express myself—fashion has given me the confidence to go out on the court and acknowledge who I am and know where I’m going,” Williams told CFDA before the show.

Other stars who won the Fashion Icon Award include Beyoncé, Zendaya and Naomi Campbell.
Williams’ fashion night began after she shared a workout photo with Olympia last month. “Olympia watched me try to get my abs to work again,” Williams wrote at the time. “Come and eat and exercise!”
