Serial Killer pays attention to Finnish TV series

The Czech Serial Killer Festival, the only national event dedicated exclusively to episodic production (running from September 19 to 24), is preparing for its sixth edition. This year’s event will focus on Finnish serial production, bringing together around 30 Finnish authors, bringing a Nordic touch to Central Europe. Festival Director Kamila Zlatushkova commented: “I think Finns and Czechs have a surprising amount of similarities – mainly our shared dark sense of humor.” Finnish offerings include satirical horror. The festival aims to not only cater to fans of Finnish TV series, but also to provide a platform for prominent figures from the local television market to interact with international professionals during the three-day industry event TV Days (20-22 September). The plot revolves around the unexpected discovery of a box of cocaine in a Czech supermarket. The organizers also supplemented the program with exclusive Czech premieres, including a local adaptation of the popular Belgian comedy series.
