Shannon Sharpe has never been shy about giving her opinion. He recently expressed his thoughts on Bill Belichick on ESPN’s “First Take,” and he didn’t mince words.
He thinks Bill Belichick’s legacy should take a bit of a hit because the Patriots haven’t had much success since Tom Brady left.

Since Brady left New England in 2020, Belichick is 26-29. The Patriots currently sit at the bottom of the AFC East with a record of 1-3. At this point, it’s fair to question whether Belichick’s success, especially in New England, is a byproduct of the greatest quarterback of all time.
“You’re absolutely right, it should hit, and I’m one of those people who says Coach Belichick deserves more credit than Tom Brady,” Sharp admitted. “But, my assessment of that is foolish. It’s becoming more and more obvious to me that Tom Brady is in large part the reason the Patriots win. Because you see, he went to another A team, they win. “It’s hard for Coach Belichick to win without Tom Brady. “

For New England fans, this may be a tough pill to swallow. However, judging from the start of the season, this idea is not unreasonable.
The season is far from over, but the Patriots have struggled out of the gate, and the schedule isn’t going to get any easier from here on out. New England will face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET.
