The Wonder Woman interpreter appears in one of the monitors while the filmmaker gives directions from a distance. The director had used stunt double Taylor Cahill on set just to figure out how to shoot the scene because Gal Gadot couldn’t go to Atlanta: “There is absolutely no deepfake technology. When you see Gal it’s 100% her“.

Sandberg added: “I was surprised how well the remote directing went, but when I spoke to Lotta Losten about it she said, ‘now don’t think about directing everything like this’. I would never do that though. I love being on set“. David reiterated: “It wasn’t difficult at all. But we also shot the scene with a stunt double, so we knew exactly what takes we needed. We had done some measurements to figure out how high the camera should be off the ground, lens information, etc“.
