Shazam! Fury of the Gods: the merchandising of the film spoils the cameo of Wonder Woman

The photo of an action figure leaked on the net leaves no room for doubt: Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will have a cameo in the sequel to Shazam!, arriving in theaters on March 16th.

Of a can Wonder Woman cameos inside Shazam! Fury of the Gods, sequel to the 2019 film with Zachary Levy, it had already been talked about in the past, but now irrefutable proof has arrived. In fact, a photo of an action figure depicting the was published on Reddit Wonder Woman by Gal Gadot in his classic comic book suit complete with Lasso of Truth.

The action figure is branded McFarlane Toys and features the Shazam logo on the back! Fury of the Gods. At the moment, DC did not want to confirm or deny the rumor, but in the latest trailer there was a frame that hinted at the return of Wonder Woman.

It will most likely be the last time we see Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman within the DC Universe since her cameo would have been removed from The Flash and James Gunn has repeatedly made it clear that he wants new actors in his next projects.

Opening weekend box office forecasts for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, however, are not at all positive. According to estimates by Box Office Pro, in fact, the sequel to Shazam! it could gross between $43 million and $52 million in its first three days of theatrical release. Even lower numbers than Black Adam, which grossed $67 million in its opening weekend last October.

The Italian theatrical release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set for March 16th.
