NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen posted a cryptic Instagram post following his ex-wife Larsa’s split from former teammate Michael Jordan’s son Marcus.

Shortly after the two split, Pippen posted to promote his bourbon brand “Digits.” However, many people had mixed feelings about the image and text choice in the post as it seemed to apply to this situation.

Pippen posted an AI-generated animation of himself smoking a cigar, with Marvin Gaye’s “Trouble Man” playing in the background.

“You have to quietly dictate, they don’t like you anymore,” Pippen wrote. “Silence is the strategy, success is the result.”

Users praised the post as a double take because of Pippen’s silence amid the noise and unnecessary stress that came with the relationship.

Marcus is the son of Michael Jordan, whom Pippen helped win six NBA championships in Chicago.

After winning six NBA championships together in Chicago, Pippen and Jordan’s already fractured relationship took another hit when Larsa and Marcus began dating.

The first hit came when Pippen harshly criticized Jordan’s “The Last Dance” documentary series. Pippen cited how Jordan passed over most of the players who helped him achieve two three-peats in the NBA, including himself.

A year later, Scotty and Larsa’s second divorce was finalized in December 2021. Over the next year, Larsa was constantly spotted with Marcus, and their relationship began to flourish. The two confirmed their relationship via Instagram on Valentine’s Day last year.

Michael, considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time, was outspoken during the relationship. When TMZ asked Jordan if he was okay with his son’s relationship with the reality star, he simply said “no.”

Larsa said she felt “embarrassed” and “traumatized” by her comments, but Marcus assured her his father was joking.

Now that the drama is no longer discussed, the question remains whether Jordan and Pippen can reconcile.
