Gal Gadot will interpret Evil queen in Disney’s upcoming live action featuring Rachel Zegler based on the classics Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film directed by Mark Webb will be a continuation of the new projects of Disney princesses in the flesh. But Gal Gadot said that she got the role of the villain not for undeniable merit, but for participating in the character’s audition stages.

Yes, I will play the Evil Queen. It was the first time in a long time that I auditioned for a project. They had to make sure I could sing because it’s a musical. So I worked on the song for a month and then I auditioned and we shot it. I got the role and it was a lot of fun. And the shooting was amazing because I had never worked on a musical and it was like nothing I had ever done. It’s so delightful and enjoyable and I really could make it big and theatrical. I’m very happy with the film, I can’t wait for the public to see it.
Therefore, it seems that Gal Gadot auditioned for the role of the Evil Queen to showcase her singing abilities, as it is a musical adaptation of Snow White. However, the role of the protagonist went to Rachel Zegleran actress who has already demonstrated her singing abilities in West Side Story.
