Someone guessed more than a year ago that Chris Pratt would be the voice of Mario

Chris pratt has been heralded as the voice of Mario in his next movie, surprising everyone. Well, almost everyone.

Discussions and predictions prior to the Nintendo Direct are never lacking, despite how unpredictable these presentations are. This week’s could have been the most surprising Direct of the year (and in several years), which is no small thing considering that two of its most important announcements were leaked in advance. The biggest surprise of all, which left many viewers wondering if they were dreaming, had to do with the movie of Mario that is developing right now.

Shigeru Miyamoto made a surprise appearance, and it turns out he had a bomb to drop. Not the release date of Mario’s movie, which will hit theaters on December 21, 2022, but the voice cast for it. Chris pratt What Mario, Charlie Day as his brother Luigi, Jack Black voicing Bowser and Anna Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach. Oh, and Seth Rogen is Donkey Kong by the way.

Don’t Miss: Lana Rhoades teases her boyfriend during a Twitch stream.

An announcement that absolutely no one saw coming, and that the world had to digest as Miyamoto walked away from the Direct as Iron Man in that meme with the explosion in the background. In fact, the only person in the world who was not surprised by the revelation, other than his own Pratt, would have been the Twitter user StheGeneral.

No offense to StheGeneral, you’ve probably never heard of him. That’s because his rise to fame has just occurred, after more than a year of involuntary waiting. On May 21, 2020, that is, much more than a year ago, StheGeneral casually predicted that Pratt would be chosen for the role of Mario in the movie, something that seemed like it wasn’t going to happen at the time.

I say it from now on, the Mario Bros movie will NOT have Charles Martinet playing Mario for no reason and will choose someone like Chris prattStheGeneral tweeted, and he probably didn’t think about it again until the cast reveal during last night’s Direct. And what reason was he. Miyamoto added that Mario’s iconic voice actor Martinet will be a part of the film, but not exactly how he will participate has been confirmed Judging from the video that Pratt has posted since the news broke, Martinet will be present whenever Mario has to say “it’s a me” or “mamma mia.”
