‘Spider-Man’ Writer Tones Down MCU Backlash After ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Popular Spider-Man comic writer Dan Slott defends the MCU in the wake of Avengers: Endgame and urges fans to focus on what they like, not what they don’t like. Slott highlights some of his favorite MCU projects since Endgame, including Werewolf by Night and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Rotten Tomatoes ratings for post-Endgame releases show that the MCU has maintained a similar level of quality, with some films and series even approaching or exceeding Endgame’s ratings.

The acclaimed Spider-Man comic book writer has something to say about the criticism that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has received since Avengers: Endgame. The MCU is not what it used to be after the end of the Infinity Saga, with many famous characters dying or retiring. New heroes began to appear, replacing departed characters or setting the stage for future goodbyes. Many fans are unhappy with the MCU changes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad.

On Twitter, Spider-Man cartoonist Dan Slott dismissed criticism of the MCU following Avengers: Endgame.

According to Slott, some of his favorite MCU projects, such as Werewolf by Night and Spider-Man: No Way Home, came about after the release of Avengers: Endgame. Slott thinks MCU fans should focus more on what they love rather than what they hate, and while Slott gave examples from his own perspective, the writer is right that several popular and well-reviewed MCU films and series came out after Avengers: Endgame. .

As the most popular review aggregation site, Rotten Tomatoes ranks MCU movies, TV shows and specials released since Avengers: Endgame proves that Marvel has maintained a similar bar since the last Avengers movie. While Avengers: Endgame’s 94% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes is hard to get, some films released since the film’s release have managed to come close to that number, and some series have even equaled or surpassed it.

In terms of cinema, Spider-Man: No Way Home Scored 93% of critics and a staggering 98% of viewers, making it the MCU film with the most fan reviews, along with the other post-Avengers: Endgame: Shan- Chi.” and The Legend of the Ten Rings. The film, starring Sim Liu, managed to live up to the multiverse event that brought together the Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire versions of Spider-Man, however, according to critics, it falls slightly behind the film and Avengers: Endgame, with a score of 93%.

With the help of Disney+, Marvel has explored various MCU formats, and while some series have had pacing and story issues, there have been a few productions that have received rave reviews.
