It was announced that four Starz shows had been pulled from the streaming platform, including one series that never even aired.

Hoping to bring “exciting original series” to its viewers, Starz is perhaps best known for hosting shows like Outlander, The Minx, Gaslit, and The Serpent Queen.

However, his back catalog has now lightened his load, with four original series either discontinued or canceled outright.

“Heels,” “Run the World” and “Blindspotting” remain, with the final season being their last, and “Samantha Bird’s Venice” is no longer moving forward.

According to Variety, production on Samantha Bird’s Venice has been shut down with only two episodes left to film in its first season.

The series was set to star Katherine Langford in the title role, with the official synopsis reading: “While visiting family in New England, Samantha is reunited with her childhood sweetheart and falls headlong into a seemingly perfect storybook romance. But the perfect couple’s love story is not as sweet as it seems at first glance.”

Production on “Samantha Bird’s Venice” was reportedly first halted in early May amid news of other shows, including “Unstable,” “Hacks” and “Cobra Kai,” being shut down when the WGA strike first began. Filming of the series took place in Montreal.

Langford is best known for her role as Hannah Baker in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, although she is also known for not having the best career breaks.

Three ongoing shows have ended at Starz

Blindspotting, Run the World and Heels have all come to an end after recently airing their second seasons. Running the World follows friends living in Harlem as they navigate life and relationships (starring Amber Stevens West, Bresha Webb and Corbin Reed), while Blindspotting aired as a sequel to the 2018 film of the same name. Jasmine Cephas Jones reprized her role as Ashley.
