Stephen Curry is 35 years old and still scoring. No one has done what the Warriors superstar has done.
Stephen Curry has mocked NBA defenses his entire career with the Golden State Warriors, but now he’s even getting some of Father Time’s best.
The 35-year-old Curry is still a headache on defense. He’s averaging more 3-pointers than ever before (5.7), and even on a per-100-possession basis, his 2023-24 season is the second-highest scoring season of his career, trailing only 2020 -21 season. With a steady 30.0 points per game, No. 30 continues to dominate the game in unparalleled fashion.
In fact, what Curry is doing at his age is unprecedented. After scoring 30 points in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, he became the oldest player in NBA history to average 30 points in the first 10 games of a season. He is the first 35-year-old to do this. The Warriors superstar broke his own record set last season.

There have been 16 times in NBA history when a player 30 or older averaged 30 points in the first 10 games of the season. Curry is fittingly responsible for three of them.
About two-thirds of Curry’s shots this season have come from beyond the arc, something he has never done in his career. Maybe it will drop as the Warriors’ season continues. Still, it’s surprising how gracefully Curry has aged. He ranks fourth in the league in points per game, behind peak superstars Luka Doncic and Joel Embiid and veteran Kevin Durant. So far this season, Curry has made 57 three-pointers.Only one other player even has 40 Now (Lauri Markkanen, 41).
Curry brings a huge workload to the Warriors at the start of the new season. His teammates’ inability to score in large numbers partially explains why his assist numbers are down to a career-low 4.0 thus far. However, despite Chris Paul still finding his way and Andrew Wiggins having a slow start to the season, Golden State still has the league’s 10th-best net rating.
If the Warriors can step up behind Stephen Curry, they still have a chance to make a deep playoff run before Father Time finally arrives with the Golden State dynasty.
