Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Suhu was hospitalized in Shimla due to abdominal pain. His condition was stable and a physical examination revealed a stomach infection as the cause of his pain. Sukhu will remain in the hospital for observation.

Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari has demanded a special forensic audit and a white paper on the state’s finances. She also urged an investigation into alleged financial irregularities at state-owned enterprises. Purandeswari highlighted the state’s debt of Rs 1,077 crore, in sharp contrast to the finance minister’s statement that the debt was only Rs 442 crore. She also cited instances of the state falling behind on payments and charging interest on late payments. Purandeswari claimed that the state’s current debt position is close to Rs 1,100 crore with interest of Rs 88,000 crore. She alleged revenue had been misappropriated and criticized the ruling party’s control of manufacturing and distribution.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu seeks support from Bharatiya Janata Party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda to withdraw from Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) gets dues pending in the state. Suhu also announced a compensation of Rs 8.97 billion to families affected by the recent disaster and highlighted the government’s efforts to address the issues faced by those displaced by the Bakla Dam. He further said that the state government has provided a special package of Rs 4,500 crore for the rehabilitation of affected families.
