Sydney Sweeney may still play teenagers, but her characters aren’t usually nerds. Clearly, the actress’s geek-chic take on school uniforms has a glamorous edge. On Tuesday, the actress attended the presentation of the Miu Miu spring-summer 2024 collection on the last day of the hearings in Paris. The Italian brand was practically responsible for popularizing the lingerie-as-outerwear craze, so it was only fitting that the actress attended the event in her version.
Let’s start with the main part of the actress’s ensemble, which was a matching cropped tweed set. His long-sleeved jacket featured gold buttons down the front as well as two large pockets near the hem. The mini shorts were made from the same fabric and were relatively simple, but it was the detail above the pair that was definitely the focus of the look.
Peeking out from underneath her shorts was the waistband of her white underwear with the Miu Miu logo placed in the center. While we could very well see Sweeney rocking solo lingerie in the style of Cara Delevingne’s recent take on the brand, the understated details added an interesting touch to the look.
Elsewhere, Sweeney continued the black palette of her look with her choice of accessories. She opted for strappy platform heels, sleek Miu Miu sunglasses and a quilted Arcadie bag from the label. And while we’re used to her blonde locks styled in an updo, she opted to wear her hair in long, voluminous waves.
The night before, Sweeney continued her Miu Miu streak by attending a pre-show event for the brand in Paris. This time, however, she opted for one of the brand’s vintage offerings in the form of a strapless little black dress with a corset.
The model featured a plunging plunging neckline as well as an extremely cropped silhouette, which she paired with a pair of sheer tights. While her choice of a sleek Miu Miu clutch and velvet bow in her hair was more in line with the fashion value of her revealing lingerie, it’s clear that Sweeney found the perfect balance between combining the classics and what’s “in.”
