Description of the Game

There is a monochrome vector arcade game called Tail Gunner that was developed by Vectorbeam in 1979. The player functions as the tail gunner of a massive spaceship, which is the idea upon which the game is based. It is necessary for the player to aim a scope and fire at the enemy spaceships before they are able to pass through the player’s cannons. The enemy spaceships assault the ship in multiple groups of three. Because of the point of view that is depicted in the game, the stars travel towards the centre of the screen rather than appearing to fly into the star field the way they would normally appear.
