Take a behind-the-scenes look at the Rolling Stones’ new “Angry” video

The Rolling Stones have shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their new video for “Angry.”

The video features 26-year-old actress Sydney Sweeney driving through West Hollywood in the back seat of a red Mercedes sports car.

Directed by François Rousslet. Regarding the iconic images on the Stones’ Sunset Boulevard album covers, Francois explains, “We tried to imagine how big they were over the decades.”

Rousslet chose Sydney Sweeney to play the lead role in the video. “Sydney was one of the cool new faces of this generation,” he said. Sydney recently starred as Olivia Mossbacher in the first season of White Lotus and played Snake in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Sydney really shows her age when making the video. “I grew up with The Rolling Stones. My parents are big fans,” she says.

“Angry” is the first single from the Rolling Stones’ 24th studio album, Hackney Diamonds, which will be released on October 20, 2023. The second single, “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” featuring Lady Gaga, is expected this Friday (September 29).
