After the Taormina Film Festival, which ended for the 69th time on July 1, the summer program presented by the Taormina Arta Sicilia Foundation continues with a program of music, prose and dance that offers many surprises from July 8 to August 18.
Foundation director Esther Bonafede and artistic director Beatrice Venesi have been working in recent months to conclude a number of co-production and partnership agreements with national and international organizations and foundations. Among them are the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, with the help of which the opening gala concert of the entire summer season “Pavarotti Forever” was organized on June 23, as well as the Opera-Theater Metz, the oldest opera house in France and a central production of opera, dance and theater. Along with this, the co-production partnership with ARTEVEN, the Veneto regional theater network and MUPA Budapest is important, which will also allow companies participating in national premieres to subsequently be able to distribute unpublished artistic projects. All this with the aim of maximizing cooperation with Sicilian organizations, with which positive collaboration is being developed in order to maximize collaboration between local eminent masters, such as the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.
