The winners of the 2020 American Music Awards were announced on Sunday, November 22nd.
The show took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and was hosted by Taraji P. Henson. Given the quarantine measures, the announcement of the winners took place in front of a small audience and was broadcast live. The ceremony included several live performances and previously recorded star numbers.
The show opened with their new single, Monster, by Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. Bieber also performed two of his hits, Lonely and Holy.

The main prize of the evening – Artist of the Year – went to Taylor Swift. She received this award for the sixth consecutive year, and also received several more statuettes, setting the record for the most awards in American Music Awards history – 32. In the welcome video, Swift said she could not accept the award in person as she was busy rewriting her music catalog.
Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd are the top picks for AMA 2020 awards. All of them received three papers e weave.
