Reigning US Open champion Naomi Osaka, who has already launched her own NFTs, is now showing interest in Dogecoin. It says that athletes, who cannot exercise their entire lives, should think about their future.
After getting involved in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Haitian-Japanese professional tennis player Naomi Osaka seems to have taken an interest in cryptocurrencies, especially – much in the style of the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk– caught his eye Dogecoin.
During an interview with Bloomberg, the tennis superstar revealed to be farsighted and that she was willing to invest her money even when she was early in her career. According to the media, lhe growing fury around cryptocurrencies has caught the attention of the defending US Open champion, who has been exploring where she can invest in the space. Part of his interest was stimulated by the entire movement in relation to Dogecoin.
The outlet indicated that she and her agent recently spoke about digital assets. However, the 23-year-old athlete claimed that DOGE caught her attention even before that discussion:
“Actually, I was talking to my agent about cryptocurrencies. I know that everything is getting bigger and bigger online. I remember reading about Dogecoin… something new and interesting is going to emerge. “
The tennis player said the steady stream of conversations about Dogecoin, especially in your account Twitter, piqued your interest even before your agent approached you with the idea of investing.
Osaka noted that athletes, in general, cannot practice their sports for their entire lives. That being said, they should think one step ahead and find the right investment instruments once they leave the field.
“As athletes, our career is not that long, so I like to be very smart with it. I like it when my agent tells me there are opportunities. And in a weird way, I like to fail a bit because it makes you understand what didn’t work and why. “
In the interest of preserving his money in the future, he has made several different investments. For example, in the salad chain Sweetgreen and North Carolina Courage, a professional women’s soccer team. It also unveiled its own non-fungible token (NFT) last week.
