Noon is the moment of the day in which the sun is most present, it reflects the light it casts on the world and cancels the same shadows with its verticality. In Montemiletto, on the vineyards of the Serra district in the western region of Avellino, it is at those hours that the glow allows you to have a full, full view of the landscape and the eyes of winemaker Bruno Pizza Keep on doing your work. His company, founded in 2010, is Tenuta del Marigio, taking its name from that moment which is at the same time a sensation in a place that touches magic for the wine lover. It is here that within a few km radius you can reach both the Greco di Tufo region and the Fiano di Avellino region, where the best expressions of Campanian wine are concentrated and expressed. It seems that here the essences of DOCG touch each other in the circle of Irpinia.
A natural choice is the use of indigenous grapes, which come from exclusively owned land, 24 hectares on which red and white are produced. In the wines of Linea dei Colli we find fine Fiano and Taurasi, which express themselves with long aging. Fiano di Avellino Colle delle Ginestre DOCG has light brownish yellow color, emerges on a fresh, mineral vein nose (sulfurous stone), blond orange fruit, vanilla aromas, valerian, barley candy. Sip pleasantly fresh, quite soft and moderately warm, salty finish. Taurasi Riserva Colle dei Serasi DOCG is a densely textured ruby, aroma includes overripe fruit, blackberry, sunset plum, dried fig, strawberry jam, cinnamon, undergrowth, licorice sprig, coffee powder, carob, fresh rose. grainy. Vigorous, fresh, tannic and quite soft, pulpy red fruit on the palate. With bright and sweeping tones, the sequence of the two Merigio wines recalls a suspicious duet: harmoniously interpreted by Mary J. Blige and Taylor Swift. Happy Chalisa.
