The 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards is shaping up to be a star-studded celebration of top talent in the American fashion industry. Tonight’s ceremony will mark Thom Browne’s first tenure as chairman and commemorate his move of the ceremony to the American Museum of Natural History uptown.

After all, history is the key word here. This year’s awards will honor some of the industry’s most unforgettable icons, who have shaped the landscape of American fashion and left an indelible mark on the entire industry. Names worth celebrating include Maria Cornejo, who will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award; Serena Williams, who will be crowned this year’s Fashion Icon ; Gwyneth Paltrow and Goop receive Innovation Award from Amazon Fashion; Mara Hoffmann to receive Sustainability Award; Domenico de Sol Domenico De Sole receives the Eleanor Lambert Founders Award.
