The 4th season of Netflix’s The Crown won a trailer and premiere date: the series about the English monarchy hits the streaming platform on November 15, 2020. After that, it has already been announced that the production will go through a year of hiatus, that is, the 5th season will only be shown in 2022. Therefore, it is necessary to take advantage of this launch, as the sequel will not arrive anytime soon.

In the small trailer released for The Crown season 4, we see Olivia Colman as the imposing Queen Elizabeth II. In her speech, the character comments on how the English monarchy cannot fail, demonstrating the weight faced by the Queen already shown in the series previously.

In addition to Colman, we see other cast names for The Crown in the trailer. Gillian Anderson, from The X – Files, plays Margaret Thatcher, while Emma Corin brings Princess Diana to life. The latter is later seen in her wedding dress, ready to seal the engagement with Prince Charles.

Thatcher’s rise to the post of the prime minister and the difficult relationship between Diana and Charles are some points to be addressed in season 4 of The Crown.

Subsequently, Imelda Staunton will be Colman’s successor on the British royal throne.
