The Dallas Stars have announced their lineup for the opening night of the 2023-24 season.

We’re finally through pre-season and the start of the 2023-2024 season is just a few days away. It’s been a long summer not only for Dallas Stars fans, but also for the players. Last season, the Stars came very close to reaching the Stanley Cup Finals, but were defeated by the eventual Stanley Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights. Dallas Stars opening night lineup: summary

Essentially, the Stars are back with the same lineup with some new additions to the lineup. Sam Smith, Craig Smith and Matt Duchene will join the Stars this season as they look to return to the Western Conference Finals. This is exactly the lineup most fans expected the Stars to have by the end of training camp. The fans have seen some good young talent in pre-season and hopefully we’ll see more of that here as the season progresses.

Pete DeBoer spoke to the media today about how he was thinking about the preseason. He said it was a very competitive camp and they achieved both of the goals the coaching staff wanted to see from the team. The only thing DeBoer wanted was to have a lineup for the opening night of the final two preseason games. This did not happen due to injuries to Roope Hintz, Wyatt Johnston and Radek Faksa.
