The film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, will be played by Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) a young girl who “travels across the country in the wake of a civil war between mankind and the robots that once served them, in search of his missing brother”. Chris Pratt will instead be a smuggler he meets along the way; Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox and Jenny Slate complete the cast which, recently, has also been joined by Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian)
Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom), as well as Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Billy Bob Thornton (The Gray Man) who joined the film’s voice cast instead. The Electric State will arrive on Netflix in 2024 and, thanks also to the role-playing game based on Stalenhag’s drawings, the numerous videogames signed by the artist, and the beautiful illustrated books that bear his name (you can find them here), we can only be really curious to find out what the final result of the film will be.
