The curtain has opened on the Italian Show and Synchronized Skating Championship, “Small Sincro” Trophy – MyRenty Cup. The event, until Sunday 26 March, will bring about 200 groups and hundreds of athletes to the PalaBigi in Reggio Emilia.
The first to get off the track were the 28 groups of the National Division Quartets.
To defeat the competition with 72.30 points was the Aletheia group (Montebello HEP) with “The Priestess of Athena”, a woman with a mortal charm, an enchantress of men whom a curse makes known under the name of Medusa.
Second step of the podium for Art Skating (Pol.Viserba Monte) which, with the program “Cobra Dance-Cambio pelle” obtained a score of 70.60. Through a sinuous dance, the group interpreted the transformation process, stripping off the old skin to achieve immortality.
Finally third position for Blue Stone (Patt. Art. S. Mariano) which with “Yesterday” totaled 70.50; a program that aimed to remember the moments in which one had a good time and the consequent desire to relive them.
The 5 groups will follow on the track Small Synchro for the related National Trophy.
Gold medal and 66.70 points for the young women of Sincro Amethyst (Nuovo Patt. Oderzo) with “Lady Gaga”, silver with 61.60 for Monza Starlight (Astro Roller S.) with “Amazzoni” and bronze with 57.60 for Team Bluice Novice ( Acc. Patt. Reggio E.) with “In the cherry orchard”.
The day ended with the 27 races Small Groups National Division.
First position with 76.70 points for Art Skating (Pol. Viserba Monte) with “The violin of Auschwitz”, the story of the unfortunate fate of a young Jewish violinist who will resist suffering by clinging to music. Second place with 73.50 points for New Dream (Sarcedo Group) with “Beyond harmony”, in which a perfect gear set makes music and movement work. Third position with 73.10 points for Deja Vu (Asd Rollerclub) with “Story of an impossible love”, where the sunset comes between day and night, the perfect moment for the two worlds to meet.
In addition to Gianluca Silingardi, president of the organizing committee of the Asd Skating Club Albinea, also Giammaria Manghi, head of the secretariat of the presidency of the Emilia Romagna Region, Nico Giberti, mayor of Albinea, and Valeria Prampolini, councilor of the Foundation for the sport of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
