“The height of shame in Riyadh”

wall- While the Israeli attacks on Gaza continue, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation met last weekend in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to discuss the Gaza agenda. But, as expected, no concrete steps came out of the summit. The summit was severely criticized in many Arab newspapers. Because before the summit, the general position in the media was that “this summit will bring nothing.”

While some newspapers focused on the speeches of their heads of state and talked about their “clear position on Palestine,” others highlighted their criticism of the Arab and Islamic world regarding Palestine. Some writers expressed their criticism by saying: “If you cannot take a position to stop the war, at least put pressure on the West on humanitarian issues.”

“The height of shame”

There is no need to write about the Arab and Islamic summit held in Riyadh. Because after 36 days of genocidal and ethnic cleansing war waged by the Zionists in the Gaza Strip, aid, etc., have not been able to stop this war. A summit that cannot open doors for people and prevent the shedding of children’s blood is neither Arab, Islamic, nor even humanitarian.

While we watch on television Israeli planes and missiles bombing hospitals, killing patients in their beds, and doctors treating them with a minimum of medicines and supplies in the complete darkness of a power outage, and performing surgeries on injured children and their families without anesthesia, the Arabs and Muslims have a population of 2 billion people, and an army of more than Of 55 individuals, his breasts are only watched with his commanders and generals, whose shoulders are filled with medals and accolades. Therefore, such a summit is the height of shame and disappointment. It is the absence of a minimum of patriotism and humanity.

The Palestinian resistance factions are committing a grave mistake by calling on the “leaders” who met in two summits in Riyadh to stop the war. Because he was the one who courageously resisted the aggression after achieving the nation’s greatest victory on October 7, destroying the Merkava tanks and the legendary “Tiger” armored vehicles, and sending millions of settlers to shelters with his missiles. Therefore, by issuing such an invitation to the leaders gathered in Riyadh, he gives most of the leaders who attended that summit honor and value that they do not deserve. “Arabs’ teeth were pulled out decades ago.”

There is nothing hidden. A month has passed since the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, and the positions towards this operation and its repercussions are completely clear. During this period, no Arab country escalated tensions against Israel. Of course, the required position here is not to open the border gates and engage in a large-scale war against Israel. This is a very unreasonable request. But can’t radical and practical steps be taken to force Tel Aviv and the West to reconsider their position, at least with regard to humanitarian issues? If words could kill, the Arab authorities would have committed a massacre against the Israelis by now. But these same words did not help deter Israel from its crimes or help thousands of innocent Palestinian children survive. What can we expect from the Arab summit?

It is time we all learned that Arabs’ teeth were extracted decades ago. Their positions no longer have any effect. Their meetings are nothing but an unnecessary necessity. Can it be said that Israel is concerned about meeting the Arabs and is rushing to satisfy them by proposing a humanitarian ceasefire? These are pipe dreams. Israel has ensured that the majority of Arabs stand with it. He does not even care about their status on the political, diplomatic, or even military level. The only thing Israel is thinking about is how to share the looted Arab money with the West and how much its share will be.

The statements of Arab officials, especially regarding the conditions and developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, are very funny. As if they were searching for their lost prestige, buried deep inside them, which had become impossible to find again. Therefore, everyone should focus on Palestine, and what the West will decide regarding Iran, and focus only on developments on the ground.(Tony Khoury/ Lebanon Bulletin Newspaper)

“A scenario bigger than the 1948 Nakba”

The real war that Israel is currently waging is not just a war against the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, but rather it is literally a war against all the residents of Gaza. Israel’s sole and strategic goal is to carry out a large-scale population migration from the northern areas of Gaza to the southern areas, first to reduce the geographical borders of the Gaza Strip, and then, in the next stage, to push the population into the Sinai Desert. .

From the beginning, the Israeli war machine sought to completely destroy infrastructure and kill as many civilians as possible. Not by chance, but on purpose. His goal is to intimidate by spreading terror and forcing everyone to flee, as he puts it, to “safe places,” that is, toward the south. The other message he wanted to convey here is that there is not a single square meter of safe place in Palestinian geography, and the only safe place is on the other side of the Egyptian border. Because it was impossible to express this goal publicly and legitimize it. Because this goal faced Egyptian-Jordanian rejection from the beginning.

What is happening in Gaza now is greater than the 1948 Nakba, and the humanitarian catastrophe exceeds the major world wars. The transfer plan will not be limited to Gaza. It is clear that the extreme right-wing movements in Israel intend to implement a similar scenario in the West Bank. This is the most important thing for Israel. Because getting rid of the Hamas movement in Gaza is a military and security goal and represents restoring Israel’s image internally and externally, which was torn apart by the Al-Aqsa flood. But the main goal that Israel seeks to get rid of its main strategic impasse, i.e. the population issue, is the West Bank. Here too, the only solution for the Israeli mentality is the “transfer” strategy, that is, immigration, which has not been announced. He is constantly working to achieve this sooner or later, but he is looking for the right conditions. (Muhammad Abu Rumman/Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper)

“Hezbollah is in trouble”

Hamas found Hezbollah between two fires. Hezbollah’s failure to participate in the Al-Aqsa flood would be a fatal blow to the so-called “battlefield unity” concept and Iran’s slogans in the region. There is no doubt that if Hamas is defeated and its dominance in Gaza ends, this will create a major rift between the branches of the axis of resistance. On the other hand, participating in the Al-Aqsa flood would mean providing a free gift to Israel, and would create a reason to strengthen its defensive position. In this way, Israel will have the opportunity to provide a stronger justification for what is happening in Gaza by defending itself within the framework of the war against terrorism. On the other hand, the step to go to war will have direct repercussions inside Lebanon, and will lead to renewed debate about “disarming the resistance” (Hezbollah) because of the threat it poses to Lebanon’s national security before the security of Israel.

While the Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip is progressing slowly, tensions on the Lebanese front are rising rapidly with the recent exchange of bombardments between Israel and Hezbollah. This is what we see from all the developments on the ground and from Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent warning and threatening statements to Hassan Nasrallah.

This is an attempt by Israel to gauge the reaction from Lebanon. So far, Hezbollah is trying to maintain a certain level of tension in the conflict. It avoids red lines such as infiltrating Israel, taking hostages, and launching ballistic missiles at Israel. Because crossing these red lines would mean a clear announcement of the Lebanese Front joining the Al-Aqsa flood. (Fadil Al-Manasifa / Emirates-supported broadcast in London Arabs Newspaper)
