Director Lee Cronin has revealed that he considered the use of a huge amount of fake blood essential for the success of the film The House: The Awakening of Evil.
Filming of the movie The House – The Awakening of the Make they requested further 6500 liters of blood fake. The director of the horror film has in fact revealed that he considered it an essential element for the success of the project.
Lee Cronin, director and screenwriter of the horror The House: Evil Awakens told variety: “We used 6500 liters of blood in the film. That’s real, gooey, cooked film blood. We had to hire this industrial kitchen to cook the blood and keep it fresh and be able to heat it up, because the characters are covered in it. There was a lot to consider when handling the liquids used in this film“.
The filmmaker further added: “I wanted the blood to be a character, so it was important that it had the right viscosity and look“.

Cronin then revealed the advice he received from Sam Raimi when he entrusted him with the direction of the new chapter in the horror saga: “He is a really good and simple communicator. His advice was, ‘Make sure the Deadites are really scary and use the book.’ My response was ‘Obviously’. It’s an interesting detail about Sam and his trust in him when he hires a filmmaker. He wasn’t thinking I would do those things, he just wanted me to tell my story my way“.
