Released as Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film, despite the fact that it was the tenth film he had theatrically released, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood tells the story of fictional Hollywood actor Rick Dalton, played by DiCaprio in an alternate 1969 cut. ends up playing a villain in the first pilot episode of the real-life western television series Lancer.

How Leonardo DiCaprio became one of Quentin Tarantino’s best employees
Since the release of his first feature film, Reservoir Dogs, in 1992, Tarantino has quickly built a reputation for repeatedly working with a select group of his favorite actors. While stars like Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth have worked with him since the beginning of his career, Tarantino’s list of regular collaborators has since expanded to include actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Uma Thurman. .
However, when Tarantino cast DiCaprio as racist plantation owner Calvin Candy in the 2012 film Django Unchained, he forged what would become one of the most prolific partnerships on the big screen. After gaining fame as a teen idol and romantic role in 1996’s Romeo + Juliet and 1997’s Titanic, DiCaprio would later shed the dreamy image that made him famous and dive into a series of dramatic roles.
