The island of Mustique until 1958 was a Caribbean paradise without roads or running water. After Lord Glenconner, Colin Tennant bought the island for £45,000, Mustique has become one of the most exclusive and expensive destinations in the world. Seven reception rooms, a chapel and a cottage with private swimming pool, tunnels connecting the various buildings, games and events rooms, a floodlit tennis court and a third swimming pool with an infinity edge from which to enjoy a breathtaking view of the landscape. The compound includes nearly 53,000 square feet of the main house plus covered outdoor areas.

Inspired by the architecture of Palladio, The Terraces is in Venetian style. The property is located on a hill and is designed in panoramic terraces with fountains and pools worthy of the largest 16th century palaces in Italy. The estate was put up for sale for $200 million and is the most expensive property ever to hit the Caribbean real estate market.
