The Mother: Jennifer Lopez rocks in the trailer of the Netflix action thriller

It will be a “sui generis” Mother’s Day this year, at least looking at what a vengeful and lethal woman is up to Jennifer Lopez in the final trailer of The Mother.

Netflix has in fact published the adrenaline-pumping promotional video of the film arriving in May and which will see Lopez interpret a sort of female version of John Wich.

The film stars an infallible assassin who, having remained hidden for years in the wilderness fleeing from dangerous enemies, returns from the heart of Alaska to save her daughter – who was forced to abandon her because of her profession – unexpectedly returned to her life . The protective instinct of a mother, combined with a training as a professional killer, will ignite the dust of this unexpected action thriller with a very good and always splendid Lopez really on her shields.

Directed by Niki Carodirector of live action Mulan And The Whale GirlThe Mother sees a screenplay signed by Misha Green (Lovecraft Country, new Tomb Raider movie), Andrea Berloff And Peter Craig starting from a subject by Green herself.

In addition to Jennifer Lopez, the cast of The Mother is composed of Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci And Gael Garcia Bernal.

The film, whose tagline reads: “Revenge has the face of a mother”will debut on the Netflix digital catalog on May 12, 2023
