FILM INFORMATION

Dwayne Johnson participated in the Night of the Oscars, presenting the category dedicated to the best animated film together with Emily Blunt. The Fast and Furious star has posted a backstage video on social media in which she converses with her co-star of The Mummy Returns, Brendan Fraser, in an impromptu reunion.

“Very nice Back to Basics with my old friend Brendan Fraser and his kids. My very first career film in Hollywood was The Mummy Returns, in which Brendan starred. Many critics and cynics were betting against me at that time but Brendan welcomed me with open arms and was so helpful. I never forget kind people. Now, years later, Brendan wins his Best Actor Oscar in The Whale and I’ve become famous for wearing a fanny pack (referring to the iconic 90’s pic.) Congratulations bro” wrote the ex The Rock in post caption. On our site is available the review of The Whale, directed by Darren Aronofsky.

Dwayne Johnson, known at the time under the pseudonym The Rock due to his career as a wrestler, made his big screen debut in 2001, in role of the Scorpion King in The Mummy Returnssecond chapter of the trilogy starring Brendan Fraser in the role of Rick O’Connell and Rachel Weisz in the role of Evelyn Carnahan.
