The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) today announced the 61 countries that will take part in the second season of eFIBA, the official tournament of FIBA NBA 2K24. Starting October 3, national federations from seven regional regions will compete in the Pro-Am game mode for a place in the first eFIBA World Finals at DreamHack Winter and a share of the €50,000 prize pool.
“After a successful first season and eFIBA’s participation in the Olympic Esports Series, we are ready to make eFIBA’s second season a landmark international event,” he said. Frank Landers, General Manager of FIBA Media and Marketing Services. “eFIBA allows us to reach new basketball fans and create a global community of players and fans who share a passion for the game.”
The second season of eFIBA will more than double the number of participating federations and expand the competition schedule. The event includes regional online qualifiers from October 3 to November 2 and regional finals from November 7 to 9 in Southeast Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America and Europe. The winning country in each Regional Final and the top two Europeans will earn a spot at the 2023 Season 2 World Finals, which will take place live at DreamHack Winter from November 25-26 in Elmia, Jonkoping, Sweden.

This season, eFIBA will be working closely with the NBA2K community through collaborations with global creators and co-streamers of eFIBA events with a suite of customizable assets, including unprecedented access to game feeds, overlays, player interview opportunities, and more. Starting October 3, the eFIBA Season 2 Regional Qualifiers and Regional Finals, as well as the eFIBA World Finals, will be broadcast on Tuesday and Thursday on the eFIBA Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as the FIBA Twitch and YouTube channels.
