Night is Coming is a new hybrid of survival and city building in which you must prepare your defenses during the day and fight against horrors at night. This will arrive on PC sometime in the next year 2022.
What we know so far from Night is Coming: Developer Wild Forest Studio claims that the world of Night is Coming is inspired by Slavic myths and “the mystique of the Carpathian region”. You will have to build a settlement, keep your villagers happy and stock up on resources. When night falls, creatures like banshees, werewolves and leschies (evil spirits of the forest) will attack your village, and you will have to defend yourself against them. Below you can see the new trailer that was released during Gamescom, in it we see the setting of the gloomy fantasy world of the game.
Quite uniquely, Wild Forest says that you will be able to raise and relocate your settlement after defending it overnight. The more difficult the path you take to new places, the greater the reward. Ignoring challenges or taking the easy path will lead to increasing difficulty, as monsters “sense your fear and pursue your colonists more aggressively.” As if you don’t have enough to worry about already.

When is Night is Coming coming out?
At the moment, there is no specific release date, beyond “2022”. It will hit PC via Steam when it launches, and you can now add it to your wish list. It is almost certain that in the coming weeks we will know more about the Slavic folklore-inspired world of Night is Coming; will be present at the Indie Arena booth at this year’s Gamescom event. It seems that fans of games like Frostpunk or They Are Billions may be interested in it.
