“The Outer Worlds” has received a launch trailer and the announcement of an extensive Day-One patch. The versions for PC and Xbox One X are equipped by the patch with 4K textures.
Obsidian Entertainment is a household name to many Fallout players, as the studio developed Fallout: New Vegas, among other things. Now the studio is launching a space adventure with The Outer Worlds that looks like a spiritual successor. Now you can watch the launch trailer for the game matching the upcoming release. In addition, a generous day-one patch was announced.
4K textures through Day-One patch, only not for PlayStation
The Day-One patch will be a whopping 38 GB on the Xbox or Xbox One X and the PC. But what is in it? For Xbox One X and PC apparently 4K textures are replenished. In the PC version, the patch is downloaded directly together with the game since it only appears digital there.
PS4 and PS4 Pro players, on the other hand, have to settle for a Day-One patch that spans 18GB. On 4K textures must be waived here, however. That’s why “The Outer Worlds” flickers on the PS4 Pro only in 1440p.
Launch trailer released
The space adventure “The Outer Worlds” will be released on October 25, 2019. You can watch the launch trailer here:
