The Pope calls for a ceasefire in Gaza

Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics and head of the Vatican, stated the need to open the way for humanitarian aid in Gaza and the release of hostages, and called for a ceasefire.

The Pope stated that he held a day of fasting and prayer for world peace in the Vatican on October 27, and thanked those who joined him in this prayer in many places and in different ways.
